B'Nai Vail

B'nai Vail

We are a growing Jewish community in the beautiful Vail Valley. Our congregation presently includes 230 families and single households ranging from retired through young families and young adults. Thirty children are enrolled in our Judaic Studies program and we've had four B'nai Mitzvah during the past year.

We are an active community committed to building a Jewish congregation that is welcoming to individuals and families of all backgrounds including full time locals, part time, summer and winter residents and visitors who are here for just a short time. The beautiful and splendid natural environment that surrounds us enhances our Jewish experience.

Within a supportive environment we seek to provide opportunities for Jewish learning, spiritual development, meaningful Shabbat, holiday services, mutual support and social activities.

Most importantly, B'nai Vail Congregation seeks to provide the opportunity for every Jewish person, family and interfaith family to BELONG to our community, so that they may connect with other Jews, regardless of the amount of time they spend in the Vail Valley.

We also recognize that diversity is inherent in our Jewish tradition and diversity is welcomed at B'nai Vail. B'nai Vail Congregation strives to integrate contemporary Jewish and American traditions and values to strengthen our community here in the Rocky Mountains.

For those of a previous generation who were turned off or were never turned on by their Jewish experiences; for a generation seeking to create a vibrant Jewish life for themselves and for the next generation of young Jews growing up in the 21st century, B'nai Vail hopes to provide an intergenerational place, a home for you, in this Jewish community.

Vail Jazz Foundation

Vail Jazz Foundation

The Vail Jazz Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit corporation (tax exempt under Sec. 501(c)(3) IRC) dedicated to the perpetuation of jazz through the presentation of jazz performances and jazz education, with a special emphasis on young musicians and young audiences.

Founded in 1995, the VJF continues to build upon its initial success by adding innovative performances and educational programs each year. The VJF strives to establish a distinctive series of programs and events to serve performers, students, teachers and the existing jazz audience and to expand that audience.

By annually presenting the Vail Jazz Festival, a unique series of performances throughout the summer, we are able to showcase the artistry and talent of great jazz musicians. With educational programs and activities such as the Vail Jazz Workshop, Jazz Goes to School and the Washington Prep High School's Fourth of July Band Trip, we are able to reach out to the next generation of players and listeners.

The VJF is determined to fulfill its mission by expanding the audience for jazz while supporting young and established artists in their quest to create great music.
